अस्मा इदु त्वष्टा तक्षद्वज्रं स्वपस्तमं स्वर्यं रणाय । वृत्रस्य चिद्विदद्येन मर्म तुजन्नीशानस्तुजता कियेधाः ॥
asmā́ íd u tváṣṭā takṣád vájraṃ svápastamaṃ svaryáṃ raṇā́ya | vṛtrásya cid vidád yéna márma tújan nīśā́nas tujatā́ kiyedhā́ḥ ||
അവനുവേണ്ടി തന്നേ ത്വഷ്ടാവ് വജ്രം പണിതു—കർമ്മത്തിൽ അത്യുത്തമം, യുദ്ധത്തിനായി ദീപ്തിമാനം. അതുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ വൃത്രന്റെ മർമ്മസ്ഥാനവും കണ്ടെത്തി; പിന്നെ ഈശാനനായി, അധിപതിയായി മുന്നേറി, പ്രഹരിക്കുന്നവരെ പ്രഹരിച്ചു, തടസ്സപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന ശക്തികളെ തകർത്തു.
