अर्चा दिवे बृहते शूष्यं वचः स्वक्षत्रं यस्य धृषतो धृषन्मनः । बृहच्छ्रवा असुरो बर्हणा कृतः पुरो हरिभ्यां वृषभो रथो हि षः ॥
árcā divé bṛhaté śūṣyàṃ vácaḥ svákṣatraṃ yásya dhṛṣató dhṛ́ṣan mánaḥ | bṛhác-chravā ásuro barháṇā kṛtáḥ púro háribhyāṃ vṛ́ṣabho rátho hí ṣáḥ ||
വിശാലമായ ദിവെയ്ക്കായി ശക്തമായ വചനം പാടുക; അവനുടേതു സ്വക്ഷത്രം—സ്വയം-സ്വരാജ്യം—, ധൃഷ്ടമായ മനസ്സ് ധൃഷ്ടമായി മുന്നോട്ട് തള്ളുന്നു. മഹാശ്രവസ്സുള്ള, വർദ്ധനയുടെ അസുര-പ്രഭു, അവൻ അഗ്രത്തിനായി നിർമ്മിതൻ; ഹരിഭ്യാം—രണ്ടു കപില അശ്വങ്ങൾ—കൊണ്ട് അവന്റെ വൃഷഭ-രഥം യുക്തമാണ്.
