आर्चन्नत्र मरुतः सस्मिन्नाजौ विश्वे देवासो अमदन्ननु त्वा । वृत्रस्य यद्भृष्टिमता वधेन नि त्वमिन्द्र प्रत्यानं जघन्थ ॥
ā́rcann átra marútaḥ sásmin ājā́u víśve devā́so amádann ánu tvā | vṛtrásya yád bhṛṣṭi-mátā vadhéna ní tvám indra práty-ā́nám jaghántha ||
ഇവിടെ ഈ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ മരുതർ പാടി; എല്ലാ ദേവന്മാരും നിന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ച് ആനന്ദിച്ചു. വൃത്രനോടു വിരോധമായി, മരണത്തിന്റെ ദീപ്ത ആയുധംകൊണ്ട്, ഹേ ഇന്ദ്ര, നീ പ്രത്യാൻ—പ്രതിരോധിക്കുന്ന വൈരിയെ—താഴെയിട്ടു.
