Sukta 1.51
इन्द्रो अश्रायि सुध्यो निरेके पज्रेषु स्तोमो दुर्यो न यूपः । अश्वयुर्गव्यू रथयुर्वसूयुरिन्द्र इद्रायः क्षयति प्रयन्ता ॥
índro aśrāyi sudhyó nireké pajréṣu stómo dúryo ná yū́paḥ | aśvayúr gavyū́ rathayúr vasūyúr índra íd rāyáḥ kṣayati prayantā́ ||
ഇന്ദ്രൻ ആശ്രയം പിടിച്ച് ദൃഢമായി നിലകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ശുദ്ധവിവേകത്തോടെ തുറന്ന ഇടങ്ങളിൽ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു. പജ്രന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ സ്തോത്രം വീട്ടിലെ യൂപം (സ്തംഭം)പോലെ ഉറച്ചുനിൽക്കുന്നു. അശ്വ-ശക്തി തേടുന്നവൻ, ഗോ-കിരണങ്ങൾ തേടുന്നവൻ, രഥ-ശക്തി തേടുന്നവൻ, വസു-സമൃദ്ധി ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവൻ—ഇന്ദ്രൻ തന്നേ റായഃ (ആധ്യാത്മിക ധനം) വിതരണക്കാരനായി, ദാതാവായി വസിക്കുന്നു.
