Sukta 1.35
वि सुपर्णो अन्तरिक्षाण्यख्यद्गभीरवेपा असुरः सुनीथः । क्वेदानीं सूर्यः कश्चिकेत कतमां द्यां रश्मिरस्या ततान ॥
ví suparṇó antárikṣāṇy akhyad gabhīrávepā ásuraḥ sunī́thaḥ | kvèdānī́ṁ sū́ryaḥ káś ciketa katamā́ṁ dyā́ṁ raśmírasya tatāna ||
സുപർണൻ (സുന്ദരചിറകുള്ളവൻ) അന്തരിക്ഷങ്ങളെ വേർതിരിച്ച് ദർശിച്ചു; ഗഹനമായി വിറയുന്ന, അസുരൻ—സുനീഥ (സു-നീതി)യുടെ അധിപതി. ഇപ്പോൾ സൂര്യൻ എവിടെയാണ്? ആരാണ് അവനെ യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞത്? അവന്റെ രശ്മി ഏതു ദ്യാമിലേക്കാണ് നീണ്ടത്?
