उप व एषे नमसा जिगीषोषासानक्ता सुदुघेव धेनुः । समाने अहन्विमिमानो अर्कं विषुरूपे पयसि सस्मिन्नूधन् ॥

úpa va eṣe námasā jigīṣóṣāsānáktā sudúgheva dhénuḥ | samāné áhan vimímāno arkáṃ víṣu-rūpe páyasi sásminn ū́dhan ||

ഹേ ദേവന്മാരേ, നമസ്കാരത്തോടെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടടുത്തു വരുന്നു—വിജയം നേടുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച്. ഉഷസ്സും രാത്രിയും, സമൃദ്ധമായി പാലൊഴുക്കുന്ന പശുവുപോലെ. ഒരേ ദിവസത്തിൽ അവർ പ്രകാശത്തിന്റെ സ്തുതിഗാനം അളക്കുന്നു; വ്യത്യസ്ത രൂപങ്ങളായ പാലധാരകളിൽ, അതേ അംബയിൽ.
