Sukta 1.167
परा शुभ्रा अयासो यव्या साधारण्येव मरुतो मिमिक्षुः । न रोदसी अप नुदन्त घोरा जुषन्त वृधं सख्याय देवाः ॥
párā śubhrā́ ayā́so yavyā́ sādhāraṇyéva marúto mimikṣuḥ | ná rodasī ápa nudanta ghorā́ juṣánta vṛ́dhaṃ sakhyā́ya devā́ḥ ||
ദൂരത്തോളം ദീപ്തമായ, അശ്രാന്തമായ, സദാ യുവമായ—മരുത്തുകൾ ഒരു പൊതുസമ്മതംപോലെ തങ്ങളുടെ ബലം ചേർത്ത് കലർത്തുന്നു. അവർ രണ്ടു ലോകങ്ങളെ (രോദസി) തള്ളിനീക്കുകയില്ല; ഭീകരരായിട്ടും ദേവന്മാർ സൗഹൃദത്തിനായി ഉള്ള വർദ്ധി (വൃധ)യിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു.
