अबोध्यग्निर्ज्म उदेति सूर्यो व्युषाश्चन्द्रा मह्यावो अर्चिषा । आयुक्षातामश्विना यातवे रथं प्रासावीद्देवः सविता जगत्पृथक् ॥
ábodhy agnír jmà úd eti sū́ryo ví uṣā́ś candrā́ mahyā́vo arcíṣā | ā́yukṣātām aśvínā yā́tave ráthaṃ prá-āsāvīd deváḥ savitā́ jágat pṛ́thak ||
അഗ്നി ഭൂമിയിലെ ജീവതത്തിൽ ഉണർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; സൂര്യൻ ഉദിക്കുന്നു; ഉഷസ് വ്യാപിച്ചു, പ്രകാശമയമായ ചന്ദ്രാ മഹത്തായ കിരണങ്ങളാൽ ദീപ്തമാകുന്നു. അശ്വിനൗ യാത്രയ്ക്കായി തങ്ങളുടെ രഥം യോജിപ്പിച്ചു; ദേവൻ സവിതൃ ചലിക്കുന്ന ജഗത്തിനെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചു—ഓരോന്നിനെയും അതിന്റെ സ്വന്തം വിശാല ഗതിപഥത്തിലേക്ക്.
