अभी नो अग्न उक्थमिज्जुगुर्या द्यावाक्षामा सिन्धवश्च स्वगूर्ताः । गव्यं यव्यं यन्तो दीर्घाहेषं वरमरुण्यो वरन्त ॥

abhī́ no agna ukthám íj juguryā dyā́vākṣā́mā síndhavaś ca svágūrtāḥ | gavyáṃ yavyáṃ yánto dīrghā́héṣaṃ váram aruṇyó varanta ||

ഹേ അഗ്നേ, സുമാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നയിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ദ്യാവാ-പൃഥിവീയും സിന്ധവഃ (നദികൾ)യും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഉക്തത്തെ പൂർണ്ണ തേജസ്സോടെ ഉണർത്തട്ടെ. ഗവ്യ (ഗോ-സമ്പത്ത്)യും യവ്യ (യവ-പോഷണം)യും കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നവർ, വരം (വരദാനം) എന്നതിന്റെ ദീർഘവ്യാപിയായ ആനന്ദം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നു; അരുൺയഃ (അരുൺ/രുദ്രിമ ശക്തികൾ)യും അതേ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നു.
