महोदरवधः
The Slaying of Mahodara
ततोग्नप्रहरणौमुष्टिभ्यांतौसमीयतुः ।तेजोबलसमाविष्टौदीप्ताविवहुताशनौ ।।6.98.25।।
tato bhagna-praharaṇau muṣṭibhyāṁ tau samīyatuḥ |
tejo-bala-samāviṣṭau dīptāv iva hutāśanau ||6.98.25||
പിന്നീട് ആയുധങ്ങൾ തകർന്നതോടെ അവർ ഇരുവരും മുഷ്ടികളോടെ അടുത്തുചേർന്നു. തേജസ്സും ബലവും നിറഞ്ഞവർ, രണ്ട് ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നികളുപോലെ ദീപ്തരായി നിന്നു.
Sugriva took up the steel club and hurled at Mahodara who took another mace and hit back. Both collided with each other and shattered; they fell down on the surface of the earth.
