मैथिलीरक्ष्यमाणातुराक्षसीरनिन्दिता ।।6.93.46।।ददर्शराक्षसंक्रुद्धंनिस्त्रिंशवरधारिणम् ।तंनिशाम्यसविस्त्रिंशंव्यथिताजनकात्मजा ।।6.93.47।।निवार्यमाणंबहुशःसुहृद्भिरनिवर्तिनम् ।
maithilī rakṣyamāṇā tu rākṣasīr aninditā |
dadarśa rākṣasaṃ kruddhaṃ nistriṃśavaradhāriṇam ||
taṃ niśāmya savistriṃśaṃ vyathitā janakātmajā |
nivāryamāṇaṃ bahuśaḥ suhṛdbhir anivartinam ||
മൈഥിലിയായ സീത—നിരപരാധിനി—രാക്ഷസീകളാൽ കാവലിരുത്തപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നിട്ടും, ക്രോധത്തോടെ അടുത്തുവരുന്ന, ഉത്തമഖഡ്ഗം ധരിച്ച രാക്ഷസനെ അവൾ കണ്ടു. വാൾ ഊരിയവനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ജനകനന്ദിനി വ്യാകുലയായി; സുഹൃത്തുകൾ പലവട്ടം തടഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവൻ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞില്ല.
