वार्यमाणःसुसङ्क्रुद्धःसुहृद्भिर्हितबुद्धिभिः ।।।।अभ्यधावतसङ्क्रुद्धःखेग्रहोरोहिणीमिव ।
vāryamāṇaḥ susaṅkruddhaḥ suhṛdbhir hitabuddhibhiḥ |
abhyadhāvata saṅkruddhaḥ khe graho rohiṇīm iva ||
ഹിതബുദ്ധിയുള്ള സുഹൃത്തുകൾ തടഞ്ഞിട്ടും, അത്യന്തം ക്രുദ്ധനായ രാവണൻ മുന്നോട്ടു പാഞ്ഞു—ആകാശത്തിൽ മംഗളഗ്രഹം രോഹിണിയിലേക്കു ചാടിപ്പായുന്നതുപോലെ.
