युद्धे अङ्गद-मैन्द-द्विविद-राक्षसयुद्धम्; कुम्भस्य प्रादुर्भावः तथा सुग्रीवेण पराभवः

Sarga 76: Angada and the Vanara chiefs battle Kampana, Prajaṅgha, Yūpākṣa, Śoṇitākṣa; Kumbha enters and is checked by Sugrīva

समीक्ष्यापततस्तांस्तुवानरेन्द्रान् महाबलान् ।।।।आववारशरौघेणनगेनेवजलाशयम् ।

samīkṣyāpatatas tāṃs tu vānarendrān mahābalān | āvavāra śaraughena nageneva jalāśayam ||

ആ മഹാബലമുള്ള വാനരേന്ദ്രന്മാർ പാഞ്ഞുവരുന്നതു കണ്ട കുംഭൻ, ഘനമായ അമ്പുവർഷംകൊണ്ട് അവരെ തടഞ്ഞു—പർവ്വതം പാഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്ന പ്രളയജലത്തിന്റെ വഴിയെ തടയുന്നതുപോലെ.
