तस्यसुस्रावरुधिरंपिहितेचास्यलोचने ।अङ्गदःपाणिनानेत्रेपिधायरुधिरोक्षिते ।।।।सालमासन्नमेकेनपरिजग्राहपाणिवा ।
tasya susrāva rudhiraṃ pihite cāsya locane |
aṅgadaḥ pāṇinā netre pidhāya rudhirokṣite ||
sālam āsannam ekena parijagrāha pāṇinā ||
അവനിൽ നിന്ന് രക്തം ഒഴുകി, കണ്ണുകൾ മൂടപ്പെട്ടു. രക്തത്തിൽ നനഞ്ഞ കണ്ണുകൾ അങ്കദൻ ഒരു കൈകൊണ്ട് മറച്ച്, മറ്റേ കൈകൊണ്ട് സമീപത്തുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ശാലവൃക്ഷം പിടിച്ചു.
Blood flowed from his injured eyes and his eyes got veiled by blood. Covering his eyes with one hand he took hold of a Sal tree nearby.
Dharma here is steadfastness under suffering: even when impaired, one continues one’s rightful effort rather than collapsing into despair.
After being struck and blinded by blood, Angada shields his eyes and arms himself by grabbing a nearby śāla tree to continue fighting.
