ततस्तुकम्पनंदृष्टवाशोणिताक्षोहतंरणे ।रथेनाभ्यपतत् क्षिप्रंतत्राङ्गदमभीतवत् ।।।।

tatas tu kampanaṃ dṛṣṭvā śoṇitākṣō hataṃ raṇē |

rathēnābhyapatat kṣipraṃ tatrāṅgadam abhītavat ||

പിന്നീട് യുദ്ധത്തിൽ കമ്പനൻ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, നിർഭയനായ ശോണിതാക്ഷൻ രഥത്തിൽ കയറി വേഗത്തിൽ അങ്ങദൻ നിലകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് പാഞ്ഞെത്തി.
