ततोऽब्रवीन्महातेजाहनूमन्तं स जाम्बवान् ।आगच्छहरिशार्दूल वानरांस्त्रातुमर्हसि ।।6.74.26।।
tato 'bravīn mahātejā hanūmantaṃ sa jāmbavān |
āgaccha hariśārdūla vānarān trātum arhasi ||6.74.26||
അപ്പോൾ മഹാതേജസ്സനായ ജാംബവാൻ ഹനുമാനോട് പറഞ്ഞു: “വാ, ഹരിശാർദൂലാ! വാനരന്മാരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു രക്ഷാകവചമാകുവാൻ നീ അർഹനാണ്.”
Then brilliant Jambavan spoke to Hanuman, the tiger among Vanaras, on reaching him. "You ought to protect the Vanaras."

Jāmbavān directly commissions Hanumān to take decisive action to rescue the vānaras amid a battlefield crisis.
