इन्द्रजितः ब्रह्मास्त्र-यागः तथा वानरसेनाविध्वंसः

Indrajit’s Brahmastra Rite and the Crushing of the Vanara Host

पश्याद्यरामंसहलक्ष्मणेनमद्बाणनिर्भिन्नविकीर्णदेहम् ।गतायुषंभूमितलेशयानंशितैश्शरैराचितसर्वगात्रम् ।।।।

paśyādya rāmaṁ saha-lakṣmaṇena mad-bāṇa-nirbhinna-vikīrṇa-deham |

gatāyuṣaṁ bhūmi-tale śayānaṁ śitaiḥ śarair ācita-sarva-gātram ||

“ഇപ്പോൾ നോക്കുക—ലക്ഷ്മണനോടുകൂടിയ രാമനെ: എന്റെ അമ്പുകൾ കുത്തിപ്പിളർത്തി ചിതറിച്ച ശരീരം, ആയുസ്സ് അസ്തമിച്ച് ഭൂമിയിൽ കിടക്കുന്നു; മൂർച്ചയുള്ള ശരംകൊണ്ട് സർവ്വാംഗവും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.”
