कुम्भकर्णवधः

The Slaying of Kumbhakarna

स्पर्शानिवप्रहारांस्तान्वेद्वयानो न विव्यथे ।।।।ऋषभंतुमहावेगंबाहुभ्यांपरिषस्वजे ।

sparśān iva prahārāṃs tān vedayāno na vivyathe |

ṛṣabhaṃ tu mahāvegaṃ bāhubhyāṃ pariṣasvaje ||

ആ പ്രഹാരങ്ങളെ സ്പർശംപോലെ മാത്രം അനുഭവിച്ച കുംഭകർണന് വേദനയുണ്ടായില്ല; പിന്നെ മഹാവേഗത്തോടെ ഋഷഭനെ ഭുജങ്ങളിൽ പിടിച്ച് ഭീകരമായ ആലിംഗനത്തിൽ ഞെരിച്ചമർത്തി.
