स वारिधाराइवसायकास्तान् पिबन् शरीरेणमहेन्द्रशत्रुः ।जघानरामस्यशरप्रवेगंव्याविध्यतंमुग्रवेगम् ।।।।

Transliteration

sa vāridhārā iva sāyakās tān piban śarīreṇa mahendraśatruḥ | jaghāna rāmasya śarapravēgaṃ vyāvidhya taṃ mudgaravegam ||

Translation

മഴധാരപോലെ ആ അമ്പുകളെ ശരീരത്തിലേക്ക് ‘കുടിച്ചെടുത്ത’ മഹേന്ദ്രശത്രു, പിന്നെ ഗദയെ ചുഴറ്റി, രാമന്റെ ശരപ്രവാഹത്തിന്റെ വേഗം ഗദയുടെ പ്രചണ്ഡധാവനത്തോടെ തടഞ്ഞു.
