कुम्भकर्णप्रस्थानम्

Kumbhakarna’s Departure for Battle

विक्लबानामबुद्धीनांराज्ञापण्डितमानिनाम् ।श्रृण्वतासदितमिदंत्वाद्विधानांमहोदर ।।।।

ghorarūpāḥ śivā neduḥ sajvālakabalair mukhaiḥ |

maṇḍalāny apasavyāni babandhuś ca vihaṅgamāḥ ||6.65.49||

ഭീകരരൂപമുള്ള ശിവകൾ (നരികൾ) ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന കഷണങ്ങൾ വായിൽ പിടിച്ച് ഉച്ചത്തിൽ കൂകി; പക്ഷികൾ അപസവ്യമായി (ഇടത്തോട്ടു) അശുഭ വൃത്തങ്ങൾ ചുറ്റി പിന്നെ ഇരുന്നുവീണു.
