तान् प्रेक्षमाणस्सहसानिकृत्तानिकृत्तभोगानिवपन्नगेन्द्रान् ।लङ्केश्वरःक्रोधवशंजगामससर्जचान्यान्निशितान्पृषत्कान् ।।6.59.100।।

tān prekṣamāṇaḥ sahasā nikṛttān nikṛttabhogān iva pannagendrān | laṅkeśvaraḥ krodhavaśaṃ jagāma sasarja cānyān niśitān pṛṣatkān ||6.59.100||

അവ ശക്തിയായി തകർന്നുവീണ അമ്പുകളെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ—ചുരുണ്ട വലയങ്ങൾ മുറിഞ്ഞ മഹാനാഗങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ—ലങ്കാധിപനായ രാവണൻ ക്രോധാധീനനായി, വീണ്ടും മറ്റു മൂർച്ചയുള്ള ശരംകൾ പ്രയോഗിച്ചു.
