"Who, surrounded by thousands of troops is roaring aloud facing Lanka, with whose roar entire Lanka with its boundary walls, archways, mountains and woods are trembling, that one who stands in the forefront of Sugriva the Lord of all Vanara troops is known as the great Nila."
It implies the dharmic caution that arrogance blinds: recognizing genuine strength in the other side is part of truthful discernment (satya-buddhi) and can avert catastrophic wrongdoing.
Sāraṇa continues describing the same Vānara leader’s overwhelming presence, emphasizing the fear and tremor his roar causes in Laṅkā.
Formidable might expressed as protective intimidation—strength that can deter the enemy and bolster allies.
