Lament of the Rākṣasa Women upon Seeing Rāvaṇa Slain
यो न शक्यस्सुरैर्हन्तुं न यक्षैर्नासुरैस्तथा ।सोऽयंकश्चिदिवासत्त्वोमृत्युंमर्त्येनलम्भितः ।।।।
yo na śakyaḥ surair hantuṃ na yakṣair nāsurais tathā |
so 'yaṃ kaścid ivāsattvo mṛtyuṃ martyena lambhitaḥ ||6.113.16||
ദേവന്മാരാലും യക്ഷന്മാരാലും അസുരന്മാരാലും വധിക്കപ്പെടാൻ അസാധ്യനായിരുന്നവൻ—അവൻ ഇന്നിവിടെ ഒരു മർത്ത്യന്റെ കൈകളാൽ മരണത്തെ പ്രാപിച്ചു, ശക്തിയറ്റവനെപ്പോലെ കിടക്കുന്നു.
"He, who could not be killed by Suras, Asuras or Yakshas, such a hero lies like a weak person devoid of strength, killed by a mortal, is resting."
