Lament of the Rākṣasa Women upon Seeing Rāvaṇa Slain
एवमार्ताःपतिंदृष्टवारावणंनिहतंभुवि ।चुक्रुशुर्भहुधाशोकाद्भूयस्ताःपर्यदेवयन् ।।।।
evam ārtāḥ patiṃ dṛṣṭvā rāvaṇaṃ nihataṃ bhuvi | cukruśur bahudhā śokād bhūyas tāḥ paryadevayan ||
ഇങ്ങനെ വ്യാകുലരായി, ഭൂമിയിൽ ഭർത്താവായ രാവണൻ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടുകിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ട അവർ ദുഃഖത്തിൽ പലവിധമായി നിലവിളിച്ചു; വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും വിലപിച്ചു.
Afflicted on beholding their husband Ravana, killed, and lying on the ground, the Rakshasa women again and again cried exceedingly in many ways overcome with grief.
