गतासुर्भीमवेगस्तुनैरृतेन्द्रोमहाद्युतिः ।पपातस्यन्दनाद्भूमौवृत्रोवज्रहतोयथा ।।।।
gatāsur bhīmavegas tu nairṛtendro mahādyutiḥ |
papāta syandanād bhūmau vṛtro vajrahato yathā ||
പ്രാണരഹിതനായി, ഭയങ്കര വേഗവും മഹാദീപ്തിയും ഉള്ള രാക്ഷസേന്ദ്രൻ രഥത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു വീണു—ഇന്ദ്രന്റെ വജ്രത്താൽ വീണ വൃത്രനെപ്പോലെ.
The king of Rakshasas, who possessed terrific speed and courage, having lost life, fell on earth like Vrttra struck down by thunderbolt.
