रावणक्रोधः—रामस्य परुषवाक्यम्
Ravana’s Fury and Rama’s Harsh Admonition
निपत्योरसिगृध्रास्तेक्षितौक्षिप्तस्यरावण ।पिबन्तुरुधिरंतर्षाद्बाणशल्यान्तरोत्थितम् ।।।।
nipatyorasi gṛdhrās te kṣitau kṣiptasya rāvaṇa |
pibantu rudhiraṃ tṛṣād bāṇaśalyāntarotthitam ||
ഓ രാവണാ, നീ ഭൂമിയിൽ തള്ളിവീഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ട് കിടക്കുമ്പോൾ, കഴുകുകൾ നിന്റെ വക്ഷസ്സിൽ ഇറങ്ങി, അമ്പിന്റെ മുറിവുകളിൽ നിന്ന് പൊങ്ങുന്ന രക്തം ദാഹത്തോടെ കുടിക്കട്ടെ।
"Ravana! After your body is caused to destroy and scattered on the ground, let the vultures drink the blood oozing from your chest pierced by the heads of my arrows."
The verse intensifies the moral warning: adharma leads not only to death but to loss of dignity; it serves as a didactic image of the downfall awaiting the violent and unrepentant.
In the midst of the duel, Rāma foretells the gruesome aftermath of Rāvaṇa’s defeat.
