रावणक्रोधः—रामस्य परुषवाक्यम्
Ravana’s Fury and Rama’s Harsh Admonition
दिष्ट्यासिममदुष्टात्मश्चक्षुर्विषयमागतः ।अद्यत्वांसायकैस्तीक्ष्णैर्नयामियमसादनम् ।।।।
diṣṭyā asi mama duṣṭātman cakṣurviṣayam āgataḥ |
adya tvāṃ sāyakais tīkṣṇair nayāmi yamasādanam ||
ദുഷ്ടാത്മാവേ! ദൈവയോഗത്താൽ നീ എന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിവിഷയമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇന്ന് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ മൂർച്ചയുള്ള അമ്പുകളാൽ യമസദനത്തിലേക്കു അയക്കും.
"O selfish Ravana! Today you have come in my sight by good fortune. I shall send you to the abode of Yama with my arrows."
Dharma here is accountability: grave wrongdoing must meet rightful consequence; the king/warrior’s duty includes ending destructive tyranny for the welfare of the world.
Rāma, facing Rāvaṇa directly, declares that the long-awaited confrontation has arrived and that he will now end Rāvaṇa’s life in battle.
Moral resolve (dhṛti) and righteous firmness—Rāma’s clarity of purpose in confronting adharma.
