Lakshmana’s Revival by the Herb-Mountain
सुप्रभंसुप्रसन्नं च मुखमस्यनिरीक्ष्यताम् ।।।।पद्मपत्रतलौहस्तौसुप्रसन्ने च लोचने ।
suprabhaṃ suprasannaṃ ca mukham asya nirīkṣyatām |
padmapatratalau hastau suprasanne ca locane ||
നോക്കുക—അവന്റെ മുഖം അത്യന്തം പ്രകാശമുള്ളതും പ്രസന്നവുമാണ്; അവന്റെ കൈത്തളങ്ങൾ താമരഇലയുടെ മേൽപ്പറപ്പുപോലെ, അവന്റെ കണ്ണുകളും ശാന്തവും നിർമ്മലവുമാണ്.
'His face is radiant and pleasing to see. His palms are like red lotuses and his eyes are so pleasant'.
Dharma is guided by pramāṇa (reliable signs/evidence): one should not surrender to fear when observable indicators support hope and duty.
Suṣeṇa points to Lakṣmaṇa’s undisturbed, radiant features as evidence that life remains.
Rational calmness and compassionate reassurance—supporting righteous leadership by preventing panic.
