'Lakshmana, who loved the kin and was devoted to me, has been led to pass by the Rakshasas.'
Yuddha-nīti: the verse contrasts righteous conduct with deceit in war, implying that violation of fairness is adharma and intensifies moral outrage.
Rama describes Lakṣmaṇa’s devotion and blames deceitful Rākṣasa tactics for his condition.
Moral clarity—Rama’s insistence on ethical boundaries even amid war.
