रावण–रामयुद्धप्रारम्भः
The Intensification of the Rama–Ravana Duel
तमिच्छन् प्रधमम् योद्धुंलक्ष्मणोनिशितैःशरैः ।मुमोचधनुरायम्यशरानग्निशिखोपमान् ।।6.100.18।।
tam icchan prathamaṃ yoddhuṃ lakṣmaṇo niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ |
mumoca dhanur āyamya śarān agniśikhopamān ||6.100.18||
ആദ്യം തന്നെ അവനോട് യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു, ലക്ഷ്മണൻ ധനുസ്സു വലിച്ചുതാണി, അഗ്നിശിഖകളെപ്പോലെ തീക്ഷ്ണമായ അമ്പുകൾ അവന്റെ നേരെ വിട്ടു।
