लङ्कादाहः — The Burning of Lanka
Catuḥpañcāśaḥ Sargaḥ
आदित्यकोटीसदृशस्सुतेजा लङ्कां समस्तां परिवार्य तिष्ठन्।शब्दैरनेकैरशनिप्ररूढैर्भिन्दन्निवाण्डं प्रबभौ महाग्निः।।।।
āditya-koṭī-sadṛśaḥ su-tejā laṅkāṃ samastāṃ parivārya tiṣṭhan | śabdair anekair aśani-prarūḍhair bhindann ivāṇḍaṃ prababhau mahāgniḥ ||
കോടിക്കണക്കിന് സൂര്യന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ദീപ്തിയുള്ള മഹാഗ്നി സർവ്വ ലങ്കയെയും ചുറ്റി നിലകൊണ്ടു. അനവധി വജ്രാഘാതസദൃശമായ ഘോഷങ്ങളാൽ, ലോകാണ്ഡത്തിന്റെ പുറംചട്ട തന്നെ പിളർക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവൻ ജ്വലിച്ചു.
Fanned by the wind, inflamed by the fat from the corpses of the demons, the fire spread in the mansions burning without smoke. It spread with great speed like the fire at the end of the universe.
