तयोर्वेगवतोर्वेगं विनिहत्य महाबलः।।।।निपपात पुनर्भूमौ सुपर्णसमविक्रमः।

Transliteration

tayor vegavator vegaṃ vinihatya mahābalaḥ | nipapāta punar bhūmau suparṇasamavikramaḥ ||

Translation

സുപർണൻ (ഗരുഡൻ) തുല്യപരാക്രമനായ മഹാബലവാൻ, ആ രണ്ടു വേഗശാലികളുടെയും പ്രഹാരവേഗം തടഞ്ഞു; എങ്കിലും വീണ്ടും ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു വീണു.
