आनुकूल्येन धर्मात्मा त्यक्त्वा सुखमनुत्तमम्।अनुगच्छति काकुत्स्थं भ्रातरं पालयन्वने।।5.38.59।।
ānukūlyena dharmātmā tyaktvā sukham anuttamam | anugacchati kākutsthaṃ bhrātaraṃ pālayan vane ||5.38.59||
ധർമ്മാത്മാവായ ലക്ഷ്മണൻ അനുകൂലഭാവത്തോടെ അതുല്യസുഖങ്ങൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച്, വനത്തിൽ കാകുത്സ്ഥനായ രാമനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു ഭക്തിപൂർവ്വം സേവിക്കുകയും സഹോദരനെ കാത്തുരക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
