Hanuman’s Offer of Rescue and Sita’s Dharmic Refusal

सलक्ष्मणं राघवमाजिमर्दनं दिशागजं मत्तमिव व्यवस्थितम्।सहेत को वानरमुख्य संयुगे युगान्तसूर्यप्रतिमं शरार्चिषम्।।।।

salakṣmaṇaṁ rāghavam ājimardanaṁ diśāgajaṁ mattam iva vyavasthitam |

saheta ko vānaramukhya saṁyuge yugāntasūryapratimaṁ śarārciṣam ||

ഹേ വാനരശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! ലക്ഷ്മണനോടൊപ്പം ഉള്ള, ശത്രുമർദ്ദകനായ രാഘവനെ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ആര് സഹിക്കും? അവൻ ദിക്കാനയെപ്പോലെ, മദോന്മത്ത ഗജംപോലെ അചഞ്ചലമായി നില്ക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ അമ്പുകളുടെ ജ്വാലകൾ യുഗാന്തസൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ ദീപ്തമാണ്.
