Hanuman’s Offer of Rescue and Sita’s Dharmic Refusal
यदि रामो दशग्रीवमिह हत्त्वा सबान्धवम्।मामितो गृह्य गच्छेत तत्तस्य सदृशं भवेत्।।।।
yadi rāmo daśagrīvam iha hatvā sabāndhavam | mām ito gṛhya gacchet tat tasya sadṛśaṃ bhavet ||
രാമൻ ഇവിടെ വന്ന് ദശഗ്രീവനെ അവന്റെ ബന്ധുക്കളോടുകൂടെ വധിച്ച്, പിന്നെ എന്നെ ഇവിടെ നിന്നു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകുകയാണെങ്കിൽ—അത് അവനു യുക്തവും ശോഭനവും ആകും.
"It will be proper if Rama comes here, kills Ravana along with all his relations and takes me away.
Dharma as rightful restoration: liberation should follow the defeat of adharma at its root, ensuring safety, justice, and the re-establishment of moral order.
Sītā outlines the proper conclusion to her captivity: Rāma must personally come, destroy Rāvaṇa’s power, and then escort her away.
