Hanuman’s Offer of Rescue and Sita’s Dharmic Refusal

भर्तुर्भक्तिं पुरस्कृत्य रामादन्यस्य वानर।न स्पृशामि शरीरं तु पुंसो वानरपुङ्गव।।।।

bhartur bhaktiṃ puraskṛtya rāmād anyasya vānara | na spṛśāmi śarīraṃ tu puṃso vānarapuṅgava ||

ഹേ വാനരപുംഗവാ! ഭർത്തൃഭക്തിയെ മുൻനിർത്തി, രാമനെ ഒഴികെ മറ്റേതൊരു പുരുഷന്റെ ശരീരത്തെയും ഞാൻ സ്പർശിക്കുകയില്ല.
