गृह्य शाखाः प्रशाखाश्च स्कन्धांश्चोत्तमशाखिनाम्।।।।दृष्ट्वा विपरिधावन्तं भवेयुर्भयशङ्किताः।

gṛhya śākhāḥ praśākhāś ca skandhāṃś cottamaśākhinām | dṛṣṭvā viparidhāvantaṃ bhaveyur bhayaśaṅkitāḥ ||

ഉയർന്ന വൃക്ഷങ്ങളുടെ കൊമ്പുകളും ഉപകൊമ്പുകളും തണ്ടുകളും പിടിച്ച് ഞാൻ പാഞ്ഞോടുന്നതു കണ്ടാൽ, രാക്ഷസീ-കാവൽക്കാർ ഭയശങ്കയോടെ വിറച്ചുപോകും.
