Sita’s Lament and Resolve under Threat
सुखाद्विहीनं बहुदुःखपूर्णमिदं तु नूनं हृदयं स्थिरं मे।विशीर्यते यन्न सहस्रधाऽद्य वज्राहतं शृङ्गमिवाचलस्य।।5.28.4।।
sukhādvihīnaṃ bahuduḥkhapūrṇam idaṃ tu nūnaṃ hṛdayaṃ sthiraṃ me |
viśīryate yan na sahasradhā ’dya vajrāhataṃ śṛṅgam ivācalasya ||5.28.4||
സുഖം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടും അനവധി ദുഃഖങ്ങളാൽ നിറഞ്ഞും ഉള്ള എന്റെ ഹൃദയം തീർച്ചയായും അത്യന്തം ദൃഢമാണ്; കാരണം ഇന്നും അത് ആയിരം കഷണങ്ങളായി തകർന്നുപോകുന്നില്ല—വജ്രാഘാതം ഏറ്റ പർവ്വതശിഖരംപോലെ.
