षोडशः सर्गः (Sarga 16): Hanumān’s Recognition of Sītā and Renewed Lament

इत्येवमर्थं कपिरन्ववेक्ष्य सीतेयमित्येव निविष्टबुद्धि:।संश्रित्य तस्मिन्निषसाद वृक्षे बली हरीणामृषभस्तरस्वी।।5.16.32।।

ity evam arthaṃ kapir anvavekṣya sīteyam ity eva niviṣṭabuddhiḥ |

saṃśritya tasmin niṣasāda vṛkṣe balī harīṇām ṛṣabhas tarasvī ||5.16.32||

ഇങ്ങനെ കാര്യത്തെ പരിശോധിച്ച കപി ‘ഇവളാണ് സീത’ എന്നു മനസ്സിൽ ദൃഢമായി നിശ്ചയിച്ചു; ആ വൃക്ഷത്തെ ആശ്രയിച്ച്, വാനരങ്ങളിൽ വൃഷഭസമനായ ബലവാനും വേഗവാനുമായവൻ അവിടെ ഇരുന്നു.
