Hanuman saw an oblong pond, full of cool water provided with steps, embellished with gems and beautified with pearl dust as sand on its bank. Thronged with many kinds of animals, it looked colourful with large mansions constructed by Visvakarma in the artificial woodlands decorated all over.
Dharma appears as mindfulness and discernment: even amid beauty and abundance, Hanumān remains an observer on duty, keeping his search righteous and purposeful.
While moving through Laṅkā’s garden regions, Hanumān notices lotus-ponds alive with water-birds—part of the scenic setting before he finds the aśoka grove.
Sattva (clarity/calm strength) and alertness—he registers details without losing focus on Sītā.
