समुद्रलङ्घनारम्भः
Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
हृतहृत्सा हनुमतापपात विधुराम्भसि।तां हतां वानरेणाशु पतितां वीक्ष्य सिंहिकाम्।।।।भूतान्याकाशचारीणि तमूचुः प्लवगोत्तमम्।
hṛtahṛtsā hanumatā papāta vidhurāmbhasi |
tāṃ hatāṃ vānarēṇāśu patitāṃ vīkṣya siṃhikām ||
bhūtāny ākāśacārīṇi tam ūcuḥ plavagottamam |
ഹനുമാൻ ഹൃദയം പിളർത്തിയതോടെ, ദുഃഖിതയായ സിംഹിക ഉടൻ തന്നെ സമുദ്രജലത്തിലേക്ക് വീണു. വാനരൻ അവളെ വധിച്ച് താഴെ വീണുകിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ട ആകാശചരങ്ങളായ ഭൂതഗണങ്ങൾ ആ പ്ലവഗോത്തമനോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു.
