Daśaratha Questions Sumantra; Messages from the Forest Threshold
तथैव रामोऽश्रुमुखः कृताञ्जलिः स्थितोऽभवल्लक्ष्मणबाहुपालितः।तथैव सीता रुदती तपस्विनी निरीक्षते राजरथं तथैव माम्।।।।
tathaiva rāmo ’śrumukhaḥ kṛtāñjaliḥ sthito ’bhaval lakṣmaṇabāhupālitaḥ |
tathaiva sītā rudatī tapasvinī nirīkṣate rājarathaṃ tathaiva mām ||
അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ശ്രീരാമൻ കണ്ണുനീർ നിറഞ്ഞ മുഖത്തോടെ കൈകൂപ്പി നിന്നു; ലക്ഷ്മണന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങളുടെ ആശ്രയത്തിൽ താങ്ങപ്പെട്ടു. അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ തപസ്വിനിയായ സീതയും ദുഃഖത്തിൽ കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് രാജരഥത്തെയും എന്നെയും തുടർച്ചയായി നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
