Rama and Lakshmana at Sabari’s Hermitage

With matted locks, tattered bark clothes and deer skin, Sabari consigned her old and emaciated body to the fire at that moment, with the permission of Rama and ascended to heaven, her body glowing like fire.
Dharma here is expressed as reverence for sacred spaces and holy persons—approaching a hermitage with humility and purpose, recognizing that spiritual life and hospitality are central values in the Ramayana.
Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa arrive at Lake Pampā and see Śabarī’s hermitage on the western bank.
Rāma’s steady commitment to righteous search and respectful approach toward ascetics and sacred places.
