Jatāyu’s Testimony and Rāma’s Grief
ततः पर्वतकूटाभं महाभागं द्विजोत्तमम्।।।।ददर्श पतितं भूमौ क्षतजार्द्रं जटायुषम्।
tataḥ parvata-kūṭābhaṁ mahābhāgaṁ dvijottamam | dadarśa patitaṁ bhūmau kṣatajārdraṁ jaṭāyuṣam ||
അപ്പോൾ അവൻ പർവതശിഖരംപോലെ തോന്നുന്ന മഹാഭാഗ്യശാലിയായ ദ്വിജോത്തമൻ ജടായുവിനെ ഭൂമിയിൽ വീണുകിടക്കുന്നതായി കണ്ടു—മുറിവുകളിൽ നിന്നൊഴുകിയ രക്തത്തിൽ നനഞ്ഞവനായി.
