Lakshmana’s Counsel to the Enraged Rama
एकस्य नापराधेन लोकान् हन्तुं त्वमर्हसि।न तु जानामि कस्यायं भग्नस्साङ्ग्रामिको रथः।।।।केन वा कस्य वा हेतोस्सायुधस्सपरिच्छदः।
ekasya nāparādhena lokān hantuṃ tvam arhasi |
na tu jānāmi kasyāyaṃ bhagnaḥ sāṅgrāmiko rathaḥ ||
kena vā kasya vā hetoḥ sāyudhaḥ saparicchadaḥ |
ഒരാളുടെ അപരാധം കൊണ്ടു ലോകങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് നിനക്കു യോജ്യമല്ല. എന്നാൽ ഇവിടെ തകർന്നുകിടക്കുന്ന ഈ യുദ്ധരഥം ആയുധങ്ങളും ഉപകരണങ്ങളും സഹിതം ആരുടേതാണെന്നും, ആരാൽ ഏതു കാരണത്താൽ ഇതു സംഭവിച്ചുവെന്നും എനിക്ക് അറിയില്ല.
