सीतावियोगे रामविलापः

Rama’s Lament in Separation from Sita

पूर्वं मया नूनमभीप्सितानि पापानि कर्माण्यसकृत्कृतानि।तत्रायमद्यापतितो विपाको दुःखेन दुःखं यदहं विशामि।।।।

pūrvaṃ mayā nūnam abhīpsitāni pāpāni karmāṇy asakṛt kṛtāni |

tatrāyam adyāpatito vipāko duḥkhena duḥkhaṃ yad ahaṃ viśāmi ||

നിശ്ചയമായും ഞാൻ മുമ്പ് പലവട്ടം പാപകർമ്മങ്ങൾ—ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചുതന്നെ ചെയ്ത പ്രവർത്തികൾ—ചെയ്തിരുന്നു; ഇന്ന് അതിന്റെ ഫലവിപാകം എന്നിൽ വീണിരിക്കുന്നു, കാരണം ഞാൻ ദുഃഖത്തിനുമേൽ ദുഃഖത്തിലേക്ക് കടക്കുന്നു.
