Viradha’s Challenge and the Clash in Dandaka
पुत्रः किल जयस्याहं माता मम शतह्रदा।विराध इति मामाहुः पृथिव्यां सर्वराक्षसाः।।3.3.6।।
putraḥ kila jayas yāhaṃ mātā mama śatahradā | virādha iti mām āhuḥ pṛthivyāṃ sarvarākṣasāḥ || 3.3.6 ||
ഞാൻ നിശ്ചയമായും ജയന്റെ പുത്രൻ; എന്റെ മാതാവ് ശതഹ്രദാ. ഈ ഭൂമിയിൽ സർവ്വ രാക്ഷസരും എന്നെ ‘വിരാധൻ’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ വിളിക്കുന്നു.
