Viradha’s Challenge and the Clash in Dandaka
तमुवाच विराधस्तु रामं सत्यपराक्रमम्।हन्त वक्ष्यामि ते राजन्निबोध मम राघव।।3.3.5।।
tam uvāca virādhas tu rāmaṃ satyaparākramam | hanta vakṣyāmi te rājan nibodha mama rāghava || 3.3.5 ||
അപ്പോൾ വിരാധൻ സത്യപരാക്രമനായ രാമനോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “അതെ, രാജാവേ! ഹേ രാഘവ, മനസ്സിലാക്കുക—ഞാൻ ആരാണെന്ന് ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പറയുന്നു.”
Puffed up with his own great strength, Viradha lifted them and placed them on his shoulders as though they were two children.
