The Battle with Khara’s Host at the Hermitage
शरान्धकारमाकाशमावृणोत्सदिवाकरम्।बभूवावस्थितो रामः प्रवमन्निव ताञ्छरान्।।।।
śarāndhakāram ākāśam āvṛṇot sa-divākaram | babhūvāvasthito rāmaḥ pravamann iva tāñ charān ||
ശരങ്ങളുടെ അന്ധകാരം സൂര്യനോടുകൂടി ആകാശത്തെ മൂടി; അചഞ്ചലമായി നിന്ന രാമൻ ആ അമ്പുകളെ വായിൽ നിന്നു പുറന്തള്ളുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നി.
Rama then let out from his bow, stretched round, thousands of arrows that covered all the ten quarters.
