उत्पातदर्शनं खरसैन्यसमागमश्च

Omens of calamity and the approach of Khara’s army

उद्यतानां हि युद्धार्थं येषां भवति लक्ष्मण।निष्प्रभं वदनं तेषां भवत्यायुः परिक्षयः।।।।

udyatānāṃ hi yuddhārthaṃ yeṣāṃ bhavati lakṣmaṇa |

niṣprabhaṃ vadanaṃ teṣāṃ bhavaty āyuḥ parikṣayaḥ ||

ഹേ ലക്ഷ്മണാ! യുദ്ധത്തിനായി എഴുന്നേറുന്നവരിൽ ആരുടെ മുഖപ്രഭ മങ്ങുന്നുവോ, അവരുടെ ആയുസ്സ് ക്ഷയിക്കുന്നു; മരണം അവർക്കു സമീപമാകുന്നു.
